Urnes Drakkar Candle Holder, Faux Marble
$39.00
Handmade faux marble “Urnes Drakkar” candle holder shaped like a Viking ship with a dragon head. Made in Ukraine.
The shape and ornament are inspired by the Urnes style, the last style of Viking Age art, which emerged in the last quarter of the 11th century and is named after the carvings of the Urnes stave church in Norway. It is known for flowing lines, asymmetry and stylised animals interlaced in figure-of-eight loops.
We make and finish each piece by hand, so small details vary slightly from piece to piece.
A fitting piece for Scandinavian-style interiors or as a gift for Viking Age enthusiasts.
