Handmade faux marble figurine of a knight on horseback inspired by the 12th-century Lewis Chessmen. Made in Ukraine.
The Lewis Chessmen are among the best-known archaeological finds of medieval Europe. They were carved from walrus ivory in the 12th century and found in 1831 on the Isle of Lewis, Scotland. The figurine shows a knight on a sturdy horse with a shield and a spear.
We make each figurine from faux marble and finish it by hand, so small details vary slightly from piece to piece.
A good choice for a figurine collection, for anyone who loves handmade work, or as a gift.
