Mavka Figurine, Silver-Painted
$35.00
Silver-painted polymer resin figurine of Mavka, the soul of the forest and heroine of Lesya Ukrainka’s “The Forest Song”. Made in Ukraine.
“I am the life-giving force of the forest, I am its soul,” says Mavka, the heroine of the drama “The Forest Song” by Lesya Ukrainka. She is a symbol of the struggle between the material and the spiritual, between everyday life and dreams.
Mavka steps out of a willow at the beginning of the play and returns to it at the end. We reflected this in the figurine: her long dress gradually turns into bark and roots.
We make each figurine from polymer resin and paint it silver by hand, so shades and small details vary slightly from piece to piece.
A good choice for a figurine collection, for anyone who loves handmade work, or as a gift.
Details:
• Material: polymer resin
• Hand-painted in silver
• Size: ~45 × 40 × 80 mm (~1.8 × 1.6 × 3.1 in), L × W × H
• Weight: ~17 g (~0.6 oz)
• Handmade in Ukraine by Ostvytsia
